BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Open the Door to Possibility.

The men's Burton Free Thinker Snowboard is a true twin spin on Danny Davis' go-to, built for hot laps in the park, pipe, or mobbing side hits across the mountain. True twin symmetry opens up the possibilities for creative expression in any direction, while the control of camber keeps it quick and poppy.

The long-running collab between artist Scott Lenhardt and team rider Danny Davis continues to bring the Thinker boards to life. This season's graphics bring a kooky, carnival vibe with an unhinged, hand-painted feel. Different-sized dots channel the energy of snowboarding, and hidden gems like a portrait of Jake honor the Burton legacy.

*Wide: A wider waist width for those with larger footprints. Recommended for boot sizes 11.5+*

PRODUCT FEATURES

Key Features:

  • Glassing: Biax Fiberglass - A jib-friendly, tortionally soft flex and a forgiving feel that's great for beginning riders or the park
  • Core: Super Fly II™ 700G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™ - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
  • Base: Sintered WFO Base - High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.

In-depth Tech Specs:

  • Profile: Camber - The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
  • Shape: Twin - A completely symmetrical shape, which thrives in a variety of freestyle situations. At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring skate style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
  • Flex: 7 Power, Precision, Control
