BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Go Deep On Park Hot Laps and Natural Features.

The men's Burton Deep Thinker Snowboard is a directional spin on team rider Danny Davis' go-to board for hot laps in the park, pipe, or mobbing side hits across the mountain. This fun, snappy ride keeps the freestyle performance turned up to 10 while upping the float and responsiveness for a balanced freeride feel with all-mountain versatility.

The long-running collaboration between artist Scott Lenhardt and team rider Danny Davis continues to bring the Thinker boards to life. This season's graphics bring a kooky, carnival vibe with an unhinged, hand-painted feel. Different-sized dots channel the energy of snowboarding, and hidden gems like a portrait of Jake honor the Burton legacy.

*Wide: A wider waist width for those with larger footprints. Recommended for boot sizes 11.5+*

PRODUCT FEATURES

Key Features:

  • Glassing: Super Sap® Epoxy - A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.
  • Core: Super Fly II™ 700G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™ - Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
  • Base: Sintered WFO Base - High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.

In-depth Tech Specs:

  • Profile: Camber - Precision, control and pop. The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
  • Shape: Directional Tapered - Directional tapered boards excel in a pure mountain environment. The tail sinks in pow for better float and quicker turns. A directional shape with a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail get taken to the next level with a tapering design—which sees a wider nose tapering into a narrower tail. The advantages are twofold: this shape not only sees mega-enhanced floatation with a surfy feel in deep powder, it also creates a faster turning snowboard which is noticeably more nimble and great for tree riding.
  • Flex: 7 Power, precision, control.
