A Nimble yet Stable Ride for Chasing Stashes
The Burton Family Tree Short Stop Snowboard is a quick, maneuverable ride for surfy days on the mountain. It lets you blast through glades with the agility to weave through tight trees and the float to surf untracked stashes. It's a board that punches above its weight class when it comes to deep snow, while staying grounded when you need the stability to carve or ride it out.
Profile: Directional Flat Top™
Terrain: All-mountain/Pow
Response: Medium
Features:
- Directional Flex – This flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
- Dragonfly™ 600G Core – The strongest and lightest core in Burton's bag of tricks.
- Multizone EGD™ – Manipulating the angles and direction of wood grain placement within the core results in ultimate edge-hold, response, and durability. In four separate zones, the wood grain is perpendicular to the core adjacent to The Channel - the area from which a rider's power emanates - for ultimate strength and edge control.
- Squeezebox – Burton's most versatile Squeezebox profile improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections under foot and thinner, more flexible sections in between making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.
- 45° Carbon Highlights High Voltage – Carbon Highlights optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.
- Super Sap® Epoxy – A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies.
- The Channel® Mounting System – Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable -- The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major bindings (not just Burton's).
Profile: Directional Flat Top™
Flat overall with a rocker nose for the steady stability and effortless float demanded by deep days and surfy terrain.
Shape: Directional
A smooth, reliable ride.
Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.
Flex: 6 (Scale 1 - 10)
Versatility at it's finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base: Sintered
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
