PRODUCT INFORMATION

The scandalous love child of the iconic 420 and PYL boards, the Hybrid immediately got at- tention with last year’s release from anyone that knew anything about its parents. It has the shorter/wider surface planning of the 420 and employs the Tapered UnderBite out- line originally unveiled on the PYL. Floaty and maneuverable with confident edge hold and responsive snap out of turns, YES has created a perfect hybrid of these two boards that has constantly grown in popularity. The snow wizard is a nod to last years Hybrid having trees and being in the pow and trees. The idea is that this forest wizard is conju- ring more snow. The norther lights are just lighting the way in the night.

Profile:
 Camrock
Terrain: Resort/Pow
Response: Medium Responsive

Features:

  • Poplar/Paulownia/Bamboo Core: Creating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia and then inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.
  • Tapered UnderBite
  • Triax Fiberglass
  • Art by: Mark kowalchuk

Profile: Camrock

The response of camber with floatability of rocker. By combining camber and rocker you allow the board to be both responsive and floaty. The camber is between your feet as a spring keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more allowing it to float.

Shape: Directional

Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.

Flex: 7 (Scale 1 - 10)

Versatility at its finest.

Base: Sintered True

Just like it says. This material is formed by extrusion. It’s softer than our other two bases, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. At the speeds many of us ride, this material is actually quicker (gets up to speed faster) than sintered when waxed correctly. You may have your own proof of this when you’re smoking by someone with a dried out “high-end” base. It also retains wax better because it’s more porous and is easy to fix with a P-Tex stick if you get scratches in it.
