PRODUCT INFORMATION
The Zero is a unisex snowboard that knows no boundaries. It can be ridden by anyone, anywhere, at any time, thanks to Twin Hybrid Camber and Asymmetrical Quadratic Side-cut. The Zero is packed with technology to mirror today’s landscape of innovation, with features like Flat Kick Tips on the nose and tail and a Performance™ Core to give you extra stability in the park and the streets. A favorite of Ride team riders Jill Perkins and Reid Smith, the Zero is the next big thing in the Ride line.
Profile: Camber
Terrain: Park/All-mountain
Response: Medium
Features:
-
Twin Extra Camber: A true twin shape hybrid profile that has more camber than rocker.
-
Linear Quadratic Side-cut: A directional side-cut utilizing Quadratic curvature from the tip to the rear insert pack, then progressing into a linear section into the tail. This creates smooth catch-free turn initiation and powerful support through the turn exit without losing grip.
- Sintered Base: High-end sintered 4000 P-tex base material that is more durable, harder and faster than extruded.
- Performance™ Core: This core combines lightweight Paulownia wood stringers with high strength Aspen.
- Slimewalls®: Ride’s exclusive Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.
-
Carbon Array Laminates: This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control. Offered in two levels of technology, 3 & 5.
-
Biaxal Glass Fiberglass: 90° and 0° angles, fun and forgiving.
-
Impact Plates Laminates: Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most. Offered in two levels, Single and Double.
-
Standard Top-sheet: Durable Urethane top-sheet material with graphics only Ride can bring you.
- Cleave Edge™ Steel: Nearly 50% more steel, delivers unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned to larger radii.
- Warranty: 3 Years
Profile: Camber
Precision, control and pop. The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
However, they are not as forgiving of mistakes and can be more difficult to learn or progress on than a rocker or hybrid bend.
Shape: Asymmetrical-Twin
Asymmetrical boards offer an additional dimension to snowboard design. With a designated toe and heel edge, asymmetrical boards truly realize that your foot is definitely *not symmetrical*. The toe edge is generally slightly longer with a shallower, less aggressive side-cut and the heel edge is generally slightly shorter with a deeper, more reactive side-cut. This is all designed to minimize rider fatigue, while maximizing performance through easier, more natural feeling heel-side turns for better response, better carving and more fun! At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring a skateboard style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
Flex: 5 - 7 (Scale 1 - 10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base: Sintered
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
