BEHIND THE PRODUCT

The TWINPIG is a twin version of Rides' most popular WARPIG model. The engineering team took what they liked about the versatility and aggression of the WARPIG and packaged it in a twin shape for someone looking for more freestyle performance while still approaching the mountain with a “thrash everything” mentality that the PIG series is known for. Size the TWINPIG down 3 to 6 cms from your standard twin to take advantage of its unique shape and profile. The TWINPIG isn't as wide as the WARPIG, but it's still wider than a traditional twin shape.

*Wide: A wider waist width for those with larger footprints. Recommended for boot sizes 11.5+*

Core: Performance™ Core: High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.
Base: Sintered, Stone Ground Base: Imagine a sintered base as the "Ferrari" of snowboard bases. It's like a sponge that loves speed. This base is made by heating and compressing tiny polyethylene particles together. It creates a porous structure that can absorb wax really well. This means the board rides smooth and fast on the snow.

Profile: Camber: Precision, control and pop. The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics
Shape: Asymmetrical: These boards offer an additional dimension to snowboard design. With a designated toe and heel edge, asymmetrical boards truly realize that your foot is definitely *not symmetrical*. The toe edge is generally slightly longer with a shallower, less aggressive side-cut and the heel edge is generally slightly shorter with a deeper, more reactive side-cut. This is all designed to minimize rider fatigue, while maximizing performance through easier, more natural feeling heel-side turns for better response, better carving and more fun!
