Ah, spring—the season of cold beers, hot laps, and somewhat risky on-mountain behaviour. When the snow is soft, you can push your comfort zone and go slightly bigger than you ever thought possible. To celebrate the season of progression, Burton partnered with Team rider Rob Roethler to create a fast and bold spring shape that’s ready to conquer soft snow and deliver good times.

Using a 3D shape in the nose and tail, and a medium width, the Barkeeper crushes through slush and locks into rails with ease. But it’s the tail that sets the Barkeeper apart from Burton's traditional spring riding shapes.

Key Features:

Glassing: Super Sap® Epoxy - A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.
Core: Super Fly® 800G Core: Lightened up and loaded with pop, this dual-species wood core utilizes dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifice in strength or performance.
Base: Sintered - High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
3D Shaping - 3D spoon shaping in the nose and tail combined with a traditional base keep you riding up and over soft corn snow.

Profile: Camber - Precision, control and pop. The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
Shape: Twin - A completely symmetrical shape, which thrives in a variety of freestyle situations. At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring skate style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
