Bryan Iguchi has secured legendary status in snowboardings history. For more than 20 years Bryan has driven the trends, engaged in the community and contributed to its culture as it evolved around him. His experience is unparalleled and his knowledge of snowboarding goes deep. In his newest creation, Guch approaches snowboarding with a mindset of humility to mirror the evolution of his own riding trajectory. The "fun and friendly solid and stable" Satori
"I'm making a conscience effort to bring balance to my life and symmetry to my snowboarding and I fell like the Satori is the answer. I'm growing and evolving in my intentions on the mountain and this is the board that matches that... My thought is to design a short/wide, pow loving board. It's freestyle focussed, with a deep side-cut, Griptech and and medium flex with a stable tail. Exaggerated uprise fenders and long drawn out ramping nose to give it additional lift in the pow and give it a more fun friendly feel. I want to go out and ride in all conditions and just have fun. " -Bryan Iguchi
Profile: Camber
Terrain: All-mountain/Powder
Response: Medium
Features:
- Bio-Plastic Topsheet: One of the materials we use in our quest to eliminate harmful petroleum-based plastics from our production cycle. Made from Castor Bean Oil, this eco-topsheet is extremely durable and water repellent.
-
5* Pow Fenders: Unlike “early rise” or a “rockered” nose/tail transition zone, Arbor’s Fenders create smoother performance, without shortening the camber section of the board. As a result, you get a clean ride without any loss of the pop and performance that comes from full-length camber. 5 Degrees for deeper snow performance and maximum float.
- Double Barrel Core II: A progressive 1:2 Poplar and Paulownia blend with bamboo stringers running along the rails of the board for added torsional response and improved board control.
-
Mixed Glassing: A triax over biax lay–up that’s best for versatility:
pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps, and more. - Recycled ABS Sidewall: When a plastic alternative is unavailable, as in the case of ABS sidewalls, we do our best to opt for a recycled material to improve the sustainability of our products.
-
360 Fully Wrapped Sidewalls: A 360–degree, fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability.
- Recycled Steel Edges: Highly durable, recycled steed edges embody two of Arbor’s key values: quality and sustainability.
- Bio-Resin: All Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers will be made with Bio-Resin, a replacement for traditional petroleum based resin that doesn’t affect performance or usability. The ingredients that go into Bio-Resin are sourced as co-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are manufactured employing green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% (when compared to its petroleum based equivalent).
- Factory Tuned: Arbor detuned the tip and tail contact points on all of their snowboards for a catch-free ride before they leave the factory.
- Wend Natural Wax: All Arbor snowboards hit the shop floor ready to ride with Wend Natural Wax.
- 0.6 Taper
- Bamboo Powerply
- 2x4 14-Pack Inserts
- 3 year Warranty
- Manufactured with 100% Solar Energy
Profile: Camber
Precision, control and pop.
The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
However, they are not as forgiving of mistakes and can be more difficult to learn or progress on than a rocker or hybrid bend.
Shape: Directional Tapered
Directional tapered boards excel in a pure mountain environment. The tail sinks in pow for better float and quicker turns.
A directional shape with a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail get taken to the next level with a tapering design—which sees a wider nose tapering into a narrower tail. The advantages are two-fold: this shape not only sees mega-enhanced floatation with a surfy feel in deep powder, it also creates a faster turning snowboard which is noticeably more nimble and great for tree riding.
Flex: 5 (Scale 1 - 10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base: Sintered
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
