BEHIND THE PRODUCT
BEHIND THE PRODUCT
Profile: Directional Camber
Terrain: All-Mountain/Powder
Response: Playful
Features:
- Quadratic Sidecut: Blending of three radii to improve turn initiation/exit while providing the best grip possible. This design is uniquely formulated for each model based on its shape and riding style.
-
Performance™ Core: High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.
- Carbon Slimewalls®: This totally unique sidewall combines layers of carbon and Slimewall® material, strategically placed from the inserts out to the contact points. This exclusive tech enhances the board by giving more pop, stability, and response while keeping the ride smooth and damp.
- Double Impact Plates: Urethane weaves added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most. Offered in two levels, Single and Double.
- Carbon Array 5™: Widespread carbon stringers, placed at the binding zone, cross over each other and taper to the contact points on the tip and tail This power distribution technology provides total board control, quicker turn initiation, and tortional rigidity.
- Pre-Cured Glass: USA-made pre-cured fiberglass optimizes glass to resin ratios to create the most consistent flex pattern possible. No other glass provides this level of stability and control.
- Roll-In Construction: Unique 3D structure built around our urethane Slimewall® sidewalls. Designed to increase overall board strength, preventing topsheet chipping while reducing weight.
Profile: Directional Camber
Camber underfoot with a bit of rocker lift in the nose gives you the ultimate best of both worlds for a pow ready board that holds up in any condition. This board bend has entry rocker that adds lift to the nose while a camber section under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. This bend caters to those who like the attributes of traditional camber but want something that will get up to speed and float easier in pow.
Shape: Directional
A smooth, reliable ride. Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.
Flex: 1 - 3 (Scale 1 - 10)
Jibbers delight. Butter it all.
Base: Extruded, Stone Ground Base
An extruded base is the "reliable workhorse" of snowboard bases. It's made by melting and shaping a solid sheet of high-density polyethylene. Extruded bases are low-maintenance and less expensive than sintered bases.
Description:
The Compact is built for all-mountain performance. The standard camber profile provides camber underfoot for snap and response with a long, rockered nose for float and turn initiation. Quadratic Sidecut improves turn initiation, exit and edge grip as well. The Compact is a soft-flexing directional all-mountain board that allows riders of all ability levels to have fun on the mountain.
