BEHIND THE PRODUCT
BEHIND THE PRODUCT
Profile: Asymmetric Twin Camber
Terrain: Park/Resort
Response: Medium
Features:
-
Asymmetrical Quadratic Sidecut: Blending of three radii to improve turn initiation/exit while providing the best grip possible. Asymmetric sidecut shaping improves heelside turn initiation and control.
-
Slim Walls: The evolution of our Roll-in Construction to the extreme limit. By creating a fully 3-D composite structure over our Slimewall® material, this revolutionary technology results in more efficient energy transfer, lighter weight construction, stronger durability, and even better damping.
- Performance™ Core: High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.
- Double Impact Plates: Urethane weaves added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most.
- Carbon Array 3™: Widespread carbon stringers, placed at the binding zone, cross over each other and taper to the contact points on the tip and tail This power distribution technology provides total board control, quicker turn initiation, and tortional rigidity.
- Cleave-Edge™: Nearly 50% more steel, delivers unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned to larger radii. More durable edges.
Profile: Camber
Precision, control and pop. The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics.
Shape: Asymmetrical Twin
Asymmetrical boards offer an additional dimension to snowboard design. With a designated toe and heel edge, asymmetrical boards truly realize that your foot is definitely *not symmetrical*. The toe edge is generally slightly longer with a shallower, less aggressive side-cut and the heel edge is generally slightly shorter with a deeper, more reactive side-cut. This is all designed to minimize rider fatigue, while maximizing performance through easier, more natural feeling heel-side turns for better response, better carving and more fun!
Flex: 4 - 6 (Scale 1 - 10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base: Sintered, Stone Ground Base
Imagine a sintered base as the "Ferrari" of snowboard bases. It's like a sponge that loves speed. This base is made by heating and compressing tiny polyethylene particles together. It creates a porous structure that can absorb wax really well. This means the board rides smooth and fast on the snow.
Description:
The Zero is a unisex snowboard that knows no boundaries. It can be ridden by anyone, anywhere, at any time, thanks to the Standard Camber profile and Asymmetrical Quadratic Sidecut. The timeless graphic is a throwback to snowboarding’s days of classic, simple and unique look but it’s packed with technology to mirror today’s landscape of innovation, with features like Flat Kick Tips on the nose and tail and a Performance™ Core to give you extra stability in the park and the streets. A favorite of team riders Jill Perkins and Reid Smith, the Zero is the next big thing in the RIDE line.
